An ESIID is the Electric Service Identifier for your meter in Texas. It is usually 17 digits and printed on your electric bill. It tells us exactly which service location to quote, which is useful when an apartment or new build is hard to find by street address.

Retail choice in Texas is limited to competitive areas served by ERCOT utilities such as Oncor, CenterPoint, AEP Texas, and TNMP. If your address is not in a competitive area, we will say so instead of showing plans that cannot actually enroll.
In competitive areas you can switch providers again, subject to the contract you chose — including any early termination fee printed on the EFL. We will show that term before you enroll.
